Tips to Clean LCD Screen properly
LCD screen monitor and your TV, here we convey some tips safe and efficient when cleaning the screen. Although we only intend to clean up a little dust or just a fingerprint attached to your electronic screen, you still have to be careful in choosing the equipment used and also must be with a safe touch ..! Do not want your "expensive" screen to be quickly broken ?!

Is it true that the wrong cleaning can damage?

If you are always doing the wrong thing when cleaning the screen so far, be it the computer monitor screen or television, electronic goods this one will be faster in waiting time damage. As you know HD TVs and modern monitors now have brighter, sharper, and more responsive screens, but these modern screens are also increasingly more vulnerable if not properly maintained. To clean it properly also does not cost much compared to most common ways that most people do now.

Clean LCD Screen properly doesn't do :

  • Wetting the screen directly

Spraying the cleaning fluid directly onto the LCD screen actually becomes one of the major contributions to LCD damage later on. There are still many people who may be accustomed since the days of CRT glass screen, spraying liquid directly onto the screen, this may never harm or become the biggest cause of screen damage. But, unlike modern LCD screens, the now flat and thin screens are made from the layer by a layer made of plastic, glass, adhesive, display element rows and other thin materials. Once the fluid enters the corner of the LCD screen, the liquid will spread inside the LCD layer through the capillary holes to get inside each layer, just as a fabric is exposed to a fluid, the liquid will absorb and spread.

  • Do not use liquids made of alcohol or ammonia.

Many lay people think that window-glass cleaning soap (also made from chemicals) is also suitable for use on monitors or TVs, it may be because many LCD screens use glossy glass that is considered the same as ordinary glass. The problem here is present because the ammonia or alcohol-based cleaning fluid can dilute/remove the anti-reflective coating on the screen, which can cause uneven layers of the layer commonly called 'clouding' and even includes damaging the screen. Although the screen you have a glossy type of glass, the screen is usually already coated again by materials that can not stand with chemicals. So do not risk carelessly using perms!

  • Cleaning with rough napkins, toilet tissue, or haphazard cloth.

Can we explain again that modern screens have now used a more fragile and thinner material? Napkins, toilet tissue, etc. are also not designed to clean thin, smooth, and vulnerable surfaces. Because these cleaners have a high degree of roughness and are able to leave scratches on we monitor. Moreover, if you use a versatile former cloth used on various previous surfaces, it could be dirt particles, dust, even iron is still remaining and eventually will directly damage your screen.

The right way and safe?

Actually, the safest way is to not clean the LCD screen at all! ^^ Confused? Surely it is not possible, not to be cleaned at all, because the dust and everyday activities in front of the screen will certainly produce dirt, fingerprints, as thin as anything, so make us as the owner of the LCD screen itching to clean it.

Well, from now on, try to prevent and minimize the occurrence of dirt on your LCD screen, for example, if you have small children, teach them not to hold the TV screen or monitor with his hands, because small children are usually most fond of touching anything on the screen. Alternatively, you can close the LCD screen with a sarong or anti-dust cover when not in use, so that no dust accumulates. The less we in cleaning the LCD screen, the better will be in maintaining the age of your modern LCD screen. But if your screen is already dirty, still must clean. Here are the steps that we consider the most appropriate and safe:

  • First, turn off the LCD display device, but it would be better if you also unplug the power cable from the outlet. Never clean the screen before the heat on the screen goes away, wait a while until the condition cools. Cleaning the screen is still warm/hot can make it more difficult to clean, can even damage the screen faster.
  • Clean the dust without touching it, you can use a can of air compressor, and spray it from a distance of approximately 1 meter from the screen. The way it is able to release dust particles that stick to static electricity. You can also use a simple rubber dust blower, but this tool can actually spill back the residue inside the rubber blower.
  • Wipe the LCD screen gently with a dry microfiber cloth. Microfiber is a miracle of modern technology because this soft cloth is very useful for electronic goods. Get used to, only this microfiber cloth that can touch your screen, as much as possible do not use other fabric to clean dust or fingerprints on the LCD screen. Wipe the LCD screen directly into the dirty part with a soft pressure is usually enough. These microfiber fabrics are already being sold in wholesale stores and electronics stores. When wiping the screen, always avoid making circular motions in the same place, to prevent the occurrence of a circular stroke. Remember, the best way is to wipe it with half the pressure and the distance that goes from left to right or from top to bottom.
  • Wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth dampened with non-mineral water (distilled water). If you need more power to clean dirt or stains on your LCD screen, you can also wet the microfiber cloth with distilled water that does not contain minerals. Bottled mineral water or directly from the faucet itself can leave deposits and layers on your LCD screen. You can look for non-mineral water in big supermarkets. The wet cloth is not too wet, just make the cloth feel wet so there is no water dripping from the cloth, or a drop of water can actually mess up your LCD screen.
  • Wet microfiber with a mixture of non-mineral water and 1: 1 white vinegar. If your LCD screen is shed oily and sticky material, this one way is the safest way to use chemical or alcohol cleansers. After moistening the microfiber with the mixture, wipe the screen in the same way, ie gently and with a wide movement.

A few tips that we can summarize to provide more knowledge about in terms of cleaning and maintaining LCD monitor screen and TV. By following the above ways we also prevent damage due to liquids, blisters, scratches, and "clouding", which causes many monitors and televisions to be wasted due to premature deterioration.
